I have withdrawn the sale because I gifted it to my nephew in England. It never sat right with me selling the saw since it’s a premium saw and my very first tool I owned and not borrowed. The steel is a quality Swedish steel with brass nuts and carved handle. Now it’s staying within the family as it should be.
Lucky boy!
Any ideas about sources for fish protein glue? I was intrigued that you use it. I’m based in UK but any hints on the what’s and how’s you do it would be appreciated.
All the best

All the links and how to I’ve written several long articles on it before. I do use it for gluing metal or brass to wood and works like a dream. You can also use it to glue wood to wood and is just as strong. I use the cod version from Veritas which I have had for many years and still it hasn’t gone off and I don’t think it ever will.

He bought me a really nice antique wooden smoothing plane. I can’t wait to receive it and make some curly shavings.
